When I received the admit call from Thomas earlier this year, I was over joyed. I could not believe that I was going to join the small but very prestigious LGO family!
I spent the last year vising schools, talking to admissions officers and students, and learning as much as I could about MBA programs. The entire journey of researching and learning about MBA programs was extremely informative and sometimes overwhelming. I spent countless hours thinking about which program would help me to accomplish all of my personal and professional goals.
Because I had a hard time making my decision, I decided to narrow my search by speaking to current students(pro tip: it is an absolute must to talk to current students, school websites have great information, but nothing tells you about the culture of the school like the students). I had the privilege of speaking to LGO 2016s Amanda, Tamara and Clara! After learning about their experience at MIT, their countless stories about their challenging yet fun summer, their class traditions and the countless professional opportunities, I knew that I had found my fit!
Fast forward, a few months, a completed application later, and an exciting acceptance letter later, I have the privilege of starting my new journey as an LGO!

It is hard to believe that I am moving away from Texas and that I am a school student again. What a journey! This is the first time in my adult life that I am living outside of Texas and away from my family. :-(
Getting adjusted to the school life will be a challenge, but I am looking forward to learning as much as possible. I am excited about the opportunity to learn from my professors (most of the classes I will be taking this summer will be completely new concepts), and to learn with and from my classmates( in and out of the classroom).
Stay tuned for more updates from the summer.
