School is back in session!
The break was short but well worth it! I spent a few days in Miami soaking up the sun and eating delicious Cuban food, then I went home (Houston) for some much needed R&R with my family and friends!
Last week I was introduced to the 401 MBA students! It was a bit overwhelming, but very exciting non the less. There was a LOT of diversity in the group - I rarely met people with the same background as I had.
I am a part of Atlantic Ocean also known as the Hot-lantics! Our chant is even better than the name.
Sitting in class with my Ocean felt like sitting in a meeting with the United Nations. I have classmates from Israel, Brazil, South Korea ,Ivory Coast, Italy, India, etc. I am really excited to learn from such a diverse group of people.

I also met my new core team members and our pilot (a 2016 that will be like our mentor for the semester). L-R: Val (pilot), Alfonso, John, SH, Rod(our instructor at the Warren Center), Sruthi, Jeff, Priscilla and me!
We also had a boat cruise party for the 2016s and 2017s. Everything about the night was amazing - I met new friends, hung out with the LGOs, ate tons of delicious food and danced the night away!
Ohh I forgot to add, I went hiking for the first time with some of the LGOs during the labor day weekend. I was very skeptical about hiking since I had never done it before, but I am soo glad I did.
And that was a recap of the first week and half of school!
